Mrs. Marie Hobson Wann, of Sheffield, passed away on March 5, 2012.Her family will receive friends on Thursday, March 8, 2012, from 10:00 until 12:00 at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Jack McLendon and Rev. Bill Bedsole officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, Alabama.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a life long and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Sheffield and former owner of Union Dry Cleaners, as well as a member of the Colbert Chiefs RV Camping Club.

Mrs. Wann is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Wann Nunley (David), Hazel Green; sons, Callen Wann (Tokey Kirk), Muscle Shoals; Jimmy Wann, Sheffield; grandson, Todd Wann (Krissy) and great granddaughter, Kyndall Wann, Muscle Shoals. She is also survived by her brother, Luther Hobson (Mary Joyce), Sheffield; sisters-in-law, June Lee Wann, Tuscumbia; Ruth Wann McLendon, Muscle Shoals; Reba Wann Kirkland (Coby) of Deer Park, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wann was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, retired Col. H.C. (Chick) Wann; her parents, Luther Lunsford and Annie Belle Wilson Hobson; her in-laws, Virgil Callen and Minnie Ragon Wann; sister-in-law, Polly Wann Stewart; brothers-in-law, Deck Wann, Jack Wann, Lee O. Stewart and Jack M. McLendon, Sr.

The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Jack McLendon, Dr. George Evans, Helen Keller Hospice.
