Robert Wesley Grissom, 73, of Tuscumbia, born Aug. 19, 1938, went to be with his Lord on May 22, 2012. His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, in the chapel of Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Virginia Grissom; son, William Robert Grissom; father, William Clarence Grissom; mother, Annie Mae Grissom; and brothers, James Grissom and Howard Grissom.

He is survived by sons, Eric Grissom (Melissa) and Kenneth Grissom; daughter, Alicia Bryant (Charles); a very special stepson, Eugene Goforth (Sheila); sister, Annie Lou White (Jimmy); brothers, Wilborn Grissom, Amose Grissom (Vicky), Carl Grissom (Betty); grandchildren, Billy Goforth (Jonie), Britney Mason (Will), Breanna Grissom, Destiny Grissom, Annie Mae Grissom, Chris Dodd, Nathan Grissom; and great-grandchildren, Haylie and Ashley Goforth.

Pallbearers are William Evans, Kenneth Grissom, Justin Tripplett, Dustin Todd, Billy Goforth and Romie Turner.

Honorary pallbearers are William Mason and Chuck Bryant.
