Bernice Ann Whittle, 87, of Tuscumbia, died Friday, May 18, 2012. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel, with Frank Holt officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Whittle was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of First Baptist Church of Tuscumbia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy Whittle, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn "Jan" Whittle. She is survived by sons, Richard A. Whittle (Shirley), James Whittle, Russell V. Whittle, Donnie Whittle, Steve Whittle (Susan); daughters, Linda McAnally (Tommy), Pat Mitchell (Billy); sister, Wilma Jo Corrigan (Bill); grandchildren, Tammy, Mark, Ricky, Tara, Scott, Jillian, Randy, Brian, Jim, Jerrold, Amy, Erik, Mitch, Michael, Corey and Callie; and numerous great-grandchildren.
